Biniagual

Bodega Biniagual – A Historic Winery on Mallorca

Bodega Biniagual looks back on a long and eventful history. The name “Biniagual” dates back to the period of Moorish settlement and means “the house of Agual.” In the 13th century, the area was primarily used for growing vegetables, before the focus shifted to livestock farming and olive cultivation in the 17th century.

Biniagual Memòries Blanc – “The Elegant One”

The Biniagual Memòries Blanc is an elegant and refreshing white wine from Mallorca, with a bright, pale golden colour. On the nose, it reveals delicate aromas of lime and lemon zest, complemented by fruity notes of gooseberry and subtle floral nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, with a clean, harmonious acidity, medium body and a pleasantly citrusy finish. The cuvée of 53% Prensal Blanc, 43% Chardonnay and 4% Moscatel combines the traditional Mallorcan grape variety Prensal Blanc with the international varieties Chardonnay and Moscatel, creating a distinctive and modern white wine. With its fresh, clean and citrus-driven character, Memòries Blanc is a versatile companion to rice dishes, white fish and grilled squid – an authentic taste of Mallorca with a touch of Mediterranean elegance.

Biniagual Negre – “The Smoky Accent”

The Biniagual Negre is a characterful red wine that impresses with its deep ruby-red colour and intense, spicy aromas. On the nose, it reveals expressive notes of ripe blueberries and blackberries, complemented by subtle peppery and smoky nuances that give the wine its distinctive depth. On the palate, the wine is well-structured and balanced, with a medium body and pleasant tannins. Fruity flavours combine with spicy pepper notes, leading to a distinctive, subtly smoky finish. The cuvée of 49% Mantonegro, 37% Syrah and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon combines Mallorcan tradition with international grape varieties. A 12-month maturation in oak barrels gives the wine additional depth, spice and structure. The Biniagual Negre is an expressive red wine made for special moments of enjoyment.
