Biniagual
Bodega Biniagual – A Historic Winery on Mallorca
Bodega Biniagual looks back on a long and eventful history. The name “Biniagual” dates back to the period of Moorish settlement and means “the house of Agual.” In the 13th century, the area was primarily used for growing vegetables, before the focus shifted to livestock farming and olive cultivation in the 17th century.
Revival of Winemaking
Since 2002, Bodega Biniagual has been producing its own wine. The Biniagual estate is located in the heart of the renowned Binissalem wine region, known for its high-quality wines.
Today, Bodega Biniagual cultivates 34 hectares of vineyards with more than 148,000 vines. The winery places great importance on combining traditional techniques with modern methods:
- Strict yield reduction for the highest quality
- Organic cultivation with winter greening and natural fertilization manual work from winter pruning to selective harvesting
- Use of indigenous grape varieties such as Manto Negro and Prensal Blanc
