Conde de Suyrot

Conde de Suyrot

Bodega Conde de Suyrot – Exclusive Wines from Mallorca

Founded in 2006, Bodega Conde de Suyrot is located in the picturesque northeast of Mallorca, between the Serra de Llevant and the Bay of Alcúdia, just a few hundred meters from the coast. On approximately 9 hectares of vineyards in Colònia de Sant Pere, 35,000 to 50,000 bottles of handcrafted white, red, and rosé wines are produced each year, reflecting elegance, quality, and the distinctive character of the island.

Fabrice Suyrot, a French winemaker with extensive experience in Bordeaux, describes himself as a “winemaker before an oenologist” and focuses on perfect handling of the grapes directly in the vineyard, minimal cellar intervention, and fermentation with wild yeasts with limited use of sulfites. This approach results in wines from Bodega Conde de Suyrot that preserve the natural expression of each grape variety and authentically convey the aromas of Mallorca.

Bodega Conde de Suyrot – Six Wines, Six Personalities

Each wine from Bodega Conde de Suyrot has its own character, “like six children, each with a unique personality.” This includes the floral Moscatel, perfect as an aperitif; the complex red wine Es Mussol; the popular fruity rosé Es Cap Roig; and the natural wine Nal, distinguished by its purity and balance. Every bottle reflects the terroir of Mallorca, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern winemaking techniques.

The winery follows a holistic approach:

  • Organic cultivation: No chemical fertilizers, vineyards cared for naturally
  • Natural soil management: Sheep provide traditional fertilization in the vineyards
  • Sustainable energy: Fully off-grid, powered exclusively by solar energy
  • Mindful irrigation: Vines are watered only in the first year during root formation; thereafter, they rely on natural water resources
  • Eco-certification in progress: The winery is in the process of obtaining official organic certification

Red Wines:
Conde de Suyrot Sa Llébre, Vino Tinto 2021: Cabernet Sauvignon and Manto-Negro

White Wines:
Conde de Suyrot Es Mussol, Vino Blanco 2023: 100% Malvasia

Rosé Wines:
Conde de Suyrot Es Cap Roig, Vino Rosado 2023: Cabernet Sauvignon, Manto-Negro, and Pinot Noir

Two wines exemplify the style of Conde de Suyrot:

Mussol – "The Salty Citrus Kick"

Conde de Suyrot Es Mussol is a lively white wine from Mallorca, immediately catching the eye with its pale yellow color and greenish reflections. On the nose, it reveals complex aromas of spices and dried fruits, complemented by subtle notes of roasted nuts and floral hints.

On the palate, Mussol is dry and flavorful, with a delicate salty touch supported by refreshing citrus and ginger tones. Its velvety, glyceric texture perfectly rounds off the tasting experience. Made from 100% Malvasia and aged for nine months in French oak, this exclusive white wine is a striking example of Mallorcan winemaking tradition—ideal for connoisseurs who appreciate complex and characterful white wines.

Sa Llebre – "The Garnet Red Passion"

Sa Llebre is a distinctive red wine from Mallorca, immediately captivating with its deep garnet color and violet reflections. On the nose, it reveals complex aromas of candied red fruits, earthy notes, and delicate spices, underscored by subtle hints of tobacco and leather.

On the palate, Sa Llebre is dry, intense, and harmonious, marked by sweet notes of candied wild fruits and a touch of terracotta. The blend of 50% Manto Negro and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 14 months in French oak, gives the wine a velvety texture, depth, and elegant structure. A characterful Mallorcan red wine that impresses with both passion and refinement.
