Macia Batle
Bodega Macià Batle – Mallorcan Winemaking Art Since 1856
In the historic town of Santa María del Camí, in the heart of the Raiguer wine region, lies the renowned Bodega Macià Batle. Since its founding in 1856, the winery has stood for a new generation of Mallorcan wines that perfectly combine tradition, quality, and authenticity. The estate is known for its elegant red, white, and rosé wines, which are bottled under the Vi de la Terra Mallorca designation.
Mallorca’s Star Among Wine Producers
Across a total of 150 hectares of vineyards — 30 of which are owned by the winery — the vines grow on optimal soils in the regions of Raiguer and Pla de Mallorca. Native varieties such as Mantonegro, Gorgollassa, and Premsal Blanc meet international classics like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, and Chardonnay. Cultivation is carried out with the utmost care, and yields are deliberately controlled to produce exclusive wines with maximum expression, freshness, and character.
In the modern winery, up to 800,000 bottles are produced annually in small, limited batches. The portfolio ranges from fresh white wines and Mediterranean rosés to complex red wines. Numerous awards and international recognition confirm the quality of the wines and make the bodega one of Mallorca’s leading wineries.
The estate places great importance on quality, innovation, and tradition:
- Awarded “Best Winery of the Balearic Islands 2024” by the Spanish magazine Viajar
- 60% of the vineyards are farmed organically, with the goal of converting to 100% organic within three years
- Use of native grape varieties such as Mantonegro, Gorgollassa, and Premsal Blanc, alongside international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, and Chardonnay
- Maturation of red wines in French oak barrels for 2–24 months
- An uncompromising commitment to quality: wines that do not meet the high standards are not sold under the Macià Batle name
