Destileria Pareis - Handmade Hierbas from Mallorca
Destileria Pareis Hierbas artesanas, 26 % vol.
Artisanal herbal liqueur from the Destileria Pareis in Llubi/Mallorca.
Following the traditional method for making this anisette-based drink, various plants that grow wild in Mallorca are selected to create one of the most typical drinks of the locals, the herbal liqueur, simply called "Herbes" on the island.
The Hierbas from Pareis is an explosion of mountain flavors in the mouth, where the plants stand out more than the anise. The natural herbs, lemon balm, and lemons impart a pleasantly sweet and fresh aroma with a touch of lemon. Chamomile and rosemary, used sparingly, give the mixture its wildness, which is finally complemented by the aromas of fennel, lemon, and orange tree leaves.
The use of sugar and anise is moderate, just the right amount, which is why only one type of herbs is made, which is neither too sweet nor too dry, making it technically a herbal mixture Dulces/Mesclades, although it might appear "sweet" on the palate.
It is worth mentioning that the Destileria Pareis is certified as an artisanal company by the Government of the Balearic Islands. All their products, including Gin, Rum, and Hierbas, are handcrafted using only fresh fruits and spices. No pre-made essences or chemical flavors are used.
