The company was founded in 1960, at a time when glassblowing was booming and there were many glass factories on the island. Today, only five companies remain on Mallorca. Lafiore is a family business that crafts decorative glass pieces. Their esteemed prestige is not only recognized in Spain but worldwide. Lafiore is the second largest and most famous glass factory after Gordiola. The Lafiore glass factory has always tried to distinguish itself from the competition, especially through the colors of the objects. The typical Mallorcan glass object is clear with a hint of color: cobalt blue, turquoise, caramel. That is all. At Lafiore, glass items with a recognition value are produced. Therefore, new colors were introduced: red, black, yellow, green, blue. The traditional design has been modernized.
