The company was founded in 1960, a time when glassblowing was flourishing and there were many glass factories on the island. Today, only five businesses remain in Mallorca. Lafiore is a family business that crafts decorative pieces from glass. Their esteemed prestige is recognized not only in Spain but worldwide. Lafiore is the second largest and most famous glass factory after Gordiola. At the Lafiore glass factory, they have always tried to distinguish themselves from the competition. Especially through the colors of the objects. The typical Mallorcan glass object is transparent with some color: Cobalt blue, turquoise, caramel. That’s all. At Lafiore, glass objects are made with added recognition value. Therefore, new colors were introduced: Red, black, yellow, green, blue. The traditional design was modernized.
