The fine-grained Fleur de Sel is a salt best used as a finishing touch on food (salad, grilled meat and fish, roasted vegetables). It is the Mediterranean counterpart to Maldon salt. The sea salt from Mallorca is untreated and dried in the Mallorcan sun. Gourmets worldwide appreciate its flavor, determined by its calcium and magnesium sulfate content, which is not present in conventional rock salt. Besides its unique taste, it contains a natural balance of minerals and trace elements.
