Located near the charming town of Pollença in northern Mallorca, Bodega Can Axartell is an innovative winery that combines modern architecture, organic viticulture, and exceptional wine quality. Since its founding, the estate has been dedicated to craftsmanship, authenticity, and the production of exclusive Mallorcan wines, crafted in small, carefully monitored batches.
Passion for Exclusive Mallorcan Wines
Across approximately 70 hectares of vineyards, the team cultivates distinctive red, rosé, and white wines, all bottled under the Vi de la Terra Mallorca designation. The vineyards are planted with indigenous grape varieties such as Callet, Manto Negro, and Gorgollassa, alongside international varieties including Syrah, Viognier, and Malvasía. One of the winery’s most distinctive features is its underground cellar, built within a former gypsum quarry. Here, the Método Gravetat (gravity-flow winemaking) is used, allowing the grapes and wine to move naturally through the production process without the use of pumps. This gentle method preserves the integrity of the fruit, resulting in elegant, expressive, and well-structured wines.
The winery follows a holistic philosophy based on:
- Limited production to ensure the highest quality
- Organic vineyard management and the use of renewable energy
- A strong focus on indigenous grape varieties such as Callet, Manto Negro, and Gorgollassa
- Gentle gravity-flow winemaking using the Método Gravetat
- Aging red wines in either stainless steel tanks or French oak barrels, depending on the style of the wine

Can Axartell Blanc displays a bright lemon-yellow color with subtle green reflections, offering brilliant clarity and an attractive luminosity in the glass. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits, medlar, pear, and peach, complemented by delicate sweet spice notes from its partial aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, this vibrant white wine is expressive and full-bodied, with a crisp, refreshing acidity that brings elegance and freshness. Flavors of stone fruit, peach, and Mediterranean herbs are complemented by a delicate, creamy texture, leading to a harmonious and persistent finish. The winery’s gentle Método Gravetat (gravity-flow winemaking) contributes to the wine’s refined structure and remarkable balance. Can Axartell Tinto – “A Mediterranean Summer Evening”
Can Axartell Tinto displays a pale ruby-red color with brilliant clarity and medium intensity. On the nose, it reveals expressive aromas of ripe red fruits such as raspberry and plum, complemented by notes of blue flowers, Mediterranean herbs, menthol, and licorice, with subtle hints of creamy pastry adding further complexity. On the palate, this lively and well-balanced red wine offers a harmonious combination of ripe fruit and floral notes, supported by soft tannins, nuances of Mediterranean coastal herbs, and a gently spicy finish that beautifully reflects its Mallorcan origin. Crafted from a blend of Callet, Manto Negro, Syrah, and Monastrell and aged in stainless steel tanks, Can Axartell Tinto is a distinctive red wine that combines freshness, elegance, and a long, satisfying finish.
