Mandragora Hidromel - Mead / Honey Wine from Mallorca
Mandragora Hidromel Melomel Cireres 10%, Honey Wine with Cherries, 0.5-litre Bottle
A classic mead or honey wine with an alcohol content of 10%. Mead is an alcoholic beverage based on honey and water. Through the addition of yeast, the sugar contained in the honey is converted into alcohol. An exotic drink with a long tradition and probably the oldest alcoholic beverage of mankind. The honey wine has had its origins for over 20,000 years and has found its way to Europe via Africa, Egypt.
Mead can be drunk chilled or warm. In summer as an ice-cold sweet refreshment or warm as an internally warming honey wine in winter.
Demi-sweet mead with a ruby red color, exuding aromas of cherries and honey. In the mouth, cherry dominates with such subtle tannins and a slight astringency that the balance between acidity and sweetness is perfect.
