Bodegas José Luis Ferrer
D.O. Mallorca Binissalem
Mallorca sparkling wine
José Luis Ferrer, Veritas Brut Nature Cava / Sparkling Wine, 0.75-l-Bottle
Grape varieties: Moll/Prensal Blanc and an addition of other varieties, which are the secret of the Ferrers and their oenologist
Alcohol content: 12.5% vol.
Production: Made from the native Mallorcan variety Moll and using the traditional "Champenoise" method. 10% of the cuvée comes from a selection of French and extra fine-grained oak barrels. The disgorgement is done without any addition. It is topped up with another Brut Nature bottle. Known as "Brut Nature" of Binissalem
Nose: Very complex, with fruity aromas of citrus and pome fruits (lemon and green apple). In the background, fennel and anise, typical of the local variety Moll. With elegant aromas from yeast cultivation
Color: Straw yellow. Fine, small, slow and long-lasting bubbles
Palate: A good hint of citrus fruits. Very lively and dry. However, at the same time, smooth, soft, creamy, and velvety. Slightly bitter finish.
The Ferrer winery wanted to add something sparkling to the Veritas line, the Brut Nature, made according to the traditional "Champenoise" method, and mainly based on native grapes.
Allergen information: contains sulfites
