The company was founded in 1960, at a time when glassblowing experienced a bloom and there were many glass factories on the island. Today, there are only five businesses left on Mallorca. Lafiore is a family business that works decorative pieces from glass. Its prestigious reputation is not only recognized in Spain, but worldwide. Lafiore is the second largest and most famous glass factory after Gordiola. At the Lafiore glass factory, they have always tried to distinguish themselves from the competition, especially through the colors of the objects. The typical Mallorcan glass object is transparent with a touch of color: cobalt blue, turquoise, caramel. That's all. At Lafiore, glass items are manufactured that have a recognizable value. Therefore, new colors were introduced: red, black, yellow, green, blue. The traditional design was modernized.
