The company was founded in 1960, at a time when glassblowing was flourishing and there were many glass factories on the island. Today, only five businesses remain in Mallorca. Lafiore is a family business that processes decorative pieces of glass. Their esteemed prestige is not only recognized in Spain but worldwide. Lafiore is the second largest and most famous glass factory after Gordiola. At the Lafiore glass factory, they have always tried to distinguish themselves from the competition, especially through the colors of the objects. The typical Majorcan glass object is transparent with a bit of color: cobalt blue, turquoise, caramel. That's all. At Lafiore, glass objects are manufactured with a distinctive value. Therefore, new colors were introduced: red, black, yellow, green, blue. The traditional design was modernized.
