Es Fangar – Organic Winery and Mediterranean Wines from Mallorca
The winery Es Fangar is located in the east of Mallorca between Felanitx and Manacor and is considered one of the island’s innovative producers of premium Mallorca wines. Surrounded by an expansive Mediterranean landscape of vineyards, pine forests, and olive groves, distinctive red wines, white wines, and rosé wines from Mallorca are crafted here, authentically reflecting the island’s unique terroir.
Organic Wines with History from Mallorca
The history of the estate dates back to Roman antiquity. Today, the winery combines traditional viticulture with modern cellar technology and sustainable farming practices. Across approximately 56 hectares of vineyards, both native Mallorcan grape varieties such as Callet, Prensal Blanc, and Giró Ros, as well as international varieties including Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, are cultivated. The wines are bottled under the designation Vi de la Terra Mallorca and are regarded as distinctive organic wines from Mallorca.
Sustainable Viticulture and a Modern Winery in Mallorca
A key element of Es Fangar’s philosophy is organic viticulture. The vineyards are cultivated sustainably and nourished exclusively with natural fertilizers. Natural ground cover between the vines strengthens the soil and promotes biodiversity throughout the vineyards.
The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and processed at the modern Es Fangar Vins winery, which opened in 2016. The winery uses the Métode Gravetat (gravity-flow method), a particularly gentle production process that avoids the use of pumps. This preserves the grapes’ natural aromas and results in elegant, expressive Mallorca wines with a distinct Mediterranean character.
All wines produced by the estate are made from organically grown grapes and are also certified vegan.
